New benchmark in good governance: Administration reaches remote Lanka village in Narayanpur; development access expands for rural residents

Raipur// Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Narayanpur district administration has set a new benchmark in governance by organizing a two-day special camp in the remote and inaccessible Lanka village of Orchha block. Located about 130 km from the district headquarters along the Indravati river and once considered a Naxal-affected area, the village witnessed its first-ever Dist level administrative camp since Independence.

Crossing difficult terrain, officials reached villagers’ doorsteps, addressing and resolving grievances on the spot. The highlight was the Wi-Fi-enabled “Sushasan Express,” which facilitated on-the-spot preparation of 27 types of essential documents, including Aadhaar, caste, residence, and income certificates—reducing repeated visits to the district headquarters. The initiative has so far recorded 17,520 applications disposed in the camp.

The camp saw participation from five nearby villages, with 310 applications received and 242 resolved immediately. Key applications included 179 under PM-Kisan, 34 for MGNREGA job cards, 25 for ration cards, and 18 related to health services.

Collector Smt. Namrata Jain said the camps under the Niyad Nellanar scheme reflect strong governance presence in remote regions like Abujhmad, strengthening public trust and connecting villagers to the development mainstream. The next camp will be held on April 29–30 in Adnar, benefiting residents of Malmeta, Konje, and Bodum, as the governance outreach continues.
