Raipur/Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today paid floral tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the occasion of National Unity Day at Sardar VallabhBhai Patel’s statue located in Devendra Nagar, Raipur. He described Sardar Patel not merely as a freedom fighter but as a visionary statesman who united the princely states with unflinching courage and commitment, laying the foundation of an integrated and united India.

Later, the Chief Minister joined the ‘Run for Unity’ organized from Shastri Chowk to Sharda Chowk in the state capital, running alongside school children, public representatives, and citizens. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Sardar Patel’s foresight and extraordinary leadership earned him the title of the “Iron Man of India.” His efforts to unify the nation, the Chief Minister noted, will continue to serve as a timeless source of inspiration for generations to come. He added that under the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the ‘Run for Unity’ is being organized across the country today as a symbol of national integrity and solidarity.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister administered the National Unity Pledge, urging everyone to realize the vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
